I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2018, completed the Clinical and Communication Lactation Specialist training in 2021, and then passed the International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant exam in 2023. I'm certified as a birth and postpartum doula by Lifespan Doulas. Love for my own family and my community has led me to focus on health education, promoting awareness of human lactation, and assisting in extending breastfeeding duration and exclusivity for the families I serve. I've experienced a range of birth scenarios, including two cesarean sections, and three VBAC births. After my initial two C-sections, I felt a strong desire for a better birth experience. This led me to immerse myself in research about birth and VBAC options. With the knowledge I gained, I felt empowered to pursue a VBAC and was successful in achieving three vaginal births.
