Hello, My name is Adèle and I’m currently expecting my first child, due August 23. My partner, Lucas, and I live in the Mission in San Francisco and are currently looking for a doula to support us during birth and postpartum period. We are planning a hospital birth through Kaiser at the Redwood City Birth Center, and ideally are looking someone in-network with Kaiser and able to accept Carrot benefits. A little about us: we’re a French/German-American couple in our 30s, and this is our first baby. I tend to be thoughtful and preparation-oriented, and I’m looking for someone calm, grounded, emotionally attuned, and experienced supporting first-time parents. My hope is for a supportive and relatively low-intervention birth experience if medically appropriate, while staying flexible and pragmatic (not too attached to anything). I would love someone who can help us feel informed, supported, and steady throughout labor and the early postpartum transition. If it sounds like we may be a good fit, we'd love to connect and hear more about your approach, availability around my due date, pricing/packages, and experience with Kaiser and Carrot benefits. Warmly, Adèle
Hello Allison, I hope this finds you well. This is my first pregnancy. I am in need of a doula to guide myself and my husband, Shaheen, through the pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period (including breastfeeding). We are hoping you can provide us with specific, actionable ways for Shaheen to support me during pregnancy, especially during labor, and during the postpartum period. I hope to labor at home as long as possible, avoid the epidural if possible, and I really would like to avoid a C-section. I am eager to learn about natural birthing techniques and positions that work with my body and gravity. Finally, my husband and I are Catholic, so we would appreciate a doula who is comfortable with prayer. Thank you for your time. Cheers, Elise 925-352-1942

Hi there, My name is Anna, and my husband and I are expecting our first baby, a girl, with a due date of July 24, 2026. We're planning to deliver at Scripps Encinitas. As first-time parents, we're looking for a doula to support us both through labor and delivery and then at home during the postpartum period, and I'd love to find out if we could be a good fit. A few things about what we're hoping for. During labor at the hospital, I'd like to try for an unmedicated birth and want support in working toward that. Afterward, we're looking for in-home postpartum assistance once we're settled back home. This is all new to us, so I'm also hoping to learn more about how doula support typically works and what your services include. On the insurance side, I'm covered through Cigna (Open Access Plus plan), and I understand you're in-network with them. I'd really like to make sure the services we receive are covered under my plan before we move forward. My benefits administrator has told me that coverage is subject to a prior authorization, which will determine the length of care and medical necessity, so the support we're approved for will be based on the care plan in that authorization. I'd appreciate any guidance you can offer on how billing and that authorization process work on your end. If you're available and a good fit, I'd love to set up a short consultation call to talk through everything. It would also help to know what your birth and postpartum services include and your pricing, so we can plan accordingly. Thank you so much, and I look forward to hearing from you.
I am looking for an overnight doula for 3 nights in the hospital to support taking care of my new born baby at night for 8 hrs. I will be undergoing a c-section and we don't have overnight nursery facility in our hospital. I am willing to pay $35-50/hr but open to negotiation.
Hello! Looking for last-minute support for birth at the end of the month. I had been in contact with an agency, but they have stopped replying, so I am desperate to find someone to be a part of my birth journey. Looking for someone to help me understand the decision-making during birth, as well as some physical support
I plan to give birth at Hoag hospital Newport. I am trying to figure out what options are covered for insurance, I’m not interested in out of pocket services at this time. I have Anthem PPO Platinum, JQU986W02777. I am 35 and my birth plan is just to stay calm and roll with the punches.
Postpartum doula night care. Ideally to watch newborn and for Sleep training, cleaning, cooking, laundry
I’m looking for overnight doula support for my baby when she is around 7-8 weeks old (starting July 9) for four weeks, with assistance with “gentle” sleep training during that time.
We are looking for an experienced postpartum doula to help support our family as we transition back to work. We have a healthy baby girl (born on May 11th) and are seeking assistance on Sunday nights and weekday mornings (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM). Responsibilities would include newborn care, bottle feeding and support with breastfeeding, soothing, diaper changes, light baby-related housekeeping (washing bottles/pump parts, baby laundry, tidying nursery), and helping establish healthy sleep routines. We have two friendly dogs in the home, so comfort around pets is important. We are looking for someone with postpartum doula certification and available starting July 19th Our home is in Oakland. Please share your experience, availability, hourly rate, and references. Thank you
Hello, My name is Anna Kerlo. I am reaching out to you to ask if you might have availability to support my husband and I through the birth of our baby. I am due August 12, it’s a girl, and she will be our first child after 7 years of IVF treatments. We have Kaiser, and are planning to give birth at Kaiser Santa Clara. I am hoping for a birth as unmedicated as possible, but also understand things don’t always go as planned. Would be available? Thanks a lot in advance for your help, Anna Kerlo
We are expecting our first baby in San Francisco and are looking for affordable postpartum doula support after birth. We would like someone certified through DONA, ICEA, NHA, CAPPA, or another organization accepted by UnitedHealthcare/Apple benefits, and we need the provider to be able to provide proof of certification and itemized receipts for reimbursement. We are primarily looking for daytime postpartum support, with possible occasional overnight help if affordable. We would like help with newborn care, feeding/lactation support, postpartum recovery support for the mother, soothing/sleep guidance, and general coaching for first-time parents. Helpful additional duties would include light baby-related laundry, bottle/pump-part cleaning, simple meal/snack prep, and light tidying related to baby care. We are not looking for heavy house cleaning. Our goal is to stay within the Apple/UHC doula reimbursement benefit, which appears to cover up to $2,500 per pregnancy. Ideally we are looking for someone around $45–$65/hour, with package pricing or sliding scale if available.
