I'm working with the Midwife Clinic at Marin Health and plan to give birth at Marin Health. I'm interested in what is covered with my insurance! I'm most interested in postpartum help (night especially but day would be great too.) I'm also interested in a doula for the birth, if it is partly/mostly covered. We are expecting our first baby in San Francisco and are looking for affordable postpartum doula support after birth. We would like someone certified through DONA, ICEA, NHA, CAPPA, or another organization accepted by UnitedHealthcare/Apple benefits, and we need the provider to be able to provide proof of certification and itemized receipts for reimbursement. We are primarily looking for daytime postpartum support, with possible occasional overnight help if affordable. We would like help with newborn care, feeding/lactation support, postpartum recovery support for the mother, soothing/sleep guidance, and general coaching for first-time parents. Helpful additional duties would include light baby-related laundry, bottle/pump-part cleaning, simple meal/snack prep, and light tidying related to baby care. We are not looking for heavy house cleaning. Our goal is to stay within the Apple/UHC doula reimbursement benefit, which appears to cover up to $2,500 per pregnancy. Ideally we are looking for someone around $45–$65/hour, with package pricing or sliding scale if available.

We are first-time parents in San Francisco expecting our daughter any day now (due February 2026). We are looking for an experienced and affordable postpartum doula to help with newborn care. Our primary need is daytime support 3 days per week for about 5 hours per session during the weekdays. We would also love the option for occasional overnight shifts of 6-8 hours when needed. Kaiser Permante downtown SF Insurance covered Ideally unmedicated vaginal birth but flexible. Female on Doulas and ideally muslim for cultural and religious understanding but not a hard requirement. I am with Kaiser so it should be covered by insurance

I was hoping to receive some prenatal, labor and delivery, and potentially some postpartum care (ideally more time that is alloted from Kaiser, and willing to pay out of pocket for the additional hours). We are looking for a Doula to help us during the birth if applicable and a few hours a week postpartum to give mom and I a break. We will be giving birth via induction on May 15, 2026 at 1:30pm at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Francisco, California. Kaiser allows $3,900 in coverage so that is our budget. We would like the provider to be certified and at least 5 years of hands on experience, My wife will be 37 (few days away from 38) during time of birth but no special needs are necessary. During birth, a provider than can give additional support (massages, care for Mom so Dad can rest if needed, help answer questions/educate us). I am looking for a day time postpartum doula starting in February or March 2026. I only want someone who can work with Cigna insurance (i.e., need to have doula certification, NPI number). My baby will be 3 months old and we need some help during the day as I deal with postpartum.

- Requirement: Accepts Kaiser insurance for covered postpartum doula services. - Would be great if provider also had availability for night needs that could be paid additionally / out of pocket (since I know Kaiser does not cover night services). This can also be a separate provider. - Would like a provider with at least 2 years of experience working with newborns / newborn families. - Spanish as a second language would be a bonus, but not a requirement. - Requirement: must be OK with cats in the home, we have two kitties that share a space with us! If you are a cat lover, that is a big plus.
