I am scheduled for a c-section on April 10 2026, and would need support after I get discharged from the hospital. I got to know my Kaiser insurance covers doula services this year and would like to know more what all support is covered and for how long.

I have a lot of anxiety going into my second pregnancy after a HORRIBLE experience with my epidural during my stay at Kaiser. The first one didn’t work, and the second one resulted in a spinal headache, and a nurse accidentally gave me too much/extra dosage of the epidural and my legs were pointless and hanging so my mom/husband had to carry them which was even harder to push my 9.7 pound son out. I just want to feel supported and safe.

Looking for night time help for our newborn son 1-2 nights per week so we can get some rest. We want someone who is infant CPR certified and has at least 1-2 years caring for infants, and could help with light housework and sleep training. He is currently fed pumped breast milk every 2-3 hours and also nurses intermittently. We are hoping to find someone within the $40-$50/hour range, as our insurance will not cover any postpartum support.
