Planning a hospital birth with a flexible budget, hoping insurance helps. I’m seeking nurturing, steady support for a holistic, natural experience with minimal interventions. I want to feel grounded, informed, and connected. Looking for a doula who can advocate for me, offer comfort techniques, and bring a calm, reassuring presence throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Anthem blue cross
I am looking for an overnight doula for 3 nights in the hospital to support taking care of my new born baby at night for 8 hrs. I will be undergoing a c-section and we don't have overnight nursery facility in our hospital. I am willing to pay $35-50/hr but open to negotiation.
Hi, we are planning to give birth at Kaiser Redwood City or Kaiser SF Geary. We have Kaiser Permanente insurance. We are looking for a Doula to assist in the birth. Thanks!
Plan to give birth at hospital. Looking for a birth doula currently
Kaiser Redwood City, an unmedicated birth with my husband acting as my support person
We plan to give birth at a hospital (Kaiser in Redwood City). I'm looking for options that will be 100% covered by our Kaiser health insurance. My birth plan is flexible. Ideally I would prefer an unmedicated VBAC birth, but is flexible if induction or C-section is required. Would be helpful to have a doula that is also well-versed in sleep training. My first required 100% contact naps until they were sleep trained at 5 months old. I have Kaiser HMO
Excited for this journey! I am giving birth at Kaiser Redwood City. Ideally I am looking for those who have worked with Kaiser insurance as I have doula coverage (I was referred to Kristin Guess). Birthplan is quite standard: prioritize non medical interventions, epidural, no IV pain meds, skin to skin, delayed cord clamping, preemptive nausea control, dim lights, breast feeding, delayed bath. Likely circumcision care. Requirements of provider: Certified, evidence based guidance (though not in OBGYN, my husband and I work in healthcare). I plan to hire a post partum nanny for the first 2 months following birth, however, would love additional support as an additional perspective. Also month 3 would be great for additional support (sleep training, lactation consulting, etc). Budget is flexible but would like to prioritize Kaiser Doula coverage first.
hospital birth covered by anthem blue cross PPO insurance. Plan for birth without epidural, second child and last time needed epidural
I plan to give birth at the UCSF Mission Bay Hospital. My insurance is Medi-cal.
I will be giving birth at Kaiser San Leandro around 7/25/26. I am trying to go for an unmedicated birth and have both Kaiser hmo insurance and alameda alliance.
Give birth @Eden in CastroValley. Budget = ~$2,500
We plan to give birth at Stanford Children's hospital. This is our second child and we would like to do a natural birth again. For our first son's birth, we had a doula who helped with breathing, positioning, encouragement, and support during birth process. Our insurance is BlueShield of California. We are also interested in looking into a postpartum doula depending on pricing
Hi there! We’re first-time parents expecting in a few weeks and are currently looking for a postpartum support doula. We have Anthem HMO, which covers doula services, and were hoping to see if you accept this insurance. We know we may be reaching out a bit late, but we’re wondering if you might still have availability or be able to offer any postpartum support. Thank you so much—we’d love to connect!
Hi Joanna, My Wife and I are expecting our first child soon, with a due date of August 23rd :) We're looking for a Doula for both birthing and postpartum services, ideally who can accept both Kaiser and Carrot benefits - Please let me know if you have availability and can accept either or both our insurance, if so we'd love to connect! Thanks, Lucas
Plan to give birth at hospital, want to get some in-person labor classes and birth doula service. Ideally vaginal birth with usage of pain relief medication.
Hello, My name is Adèle and I’m currently expecting my first child, due August 23. My partner, Lucas, and I live in the Mission in San Francisco and are currently looking for a doula to support us during birth and postpartum period. We are planning a hospital birth through Kaiser at the Redwood City Birth Center, and ideally are looking someone in-network with Kaiser and able to accept Carrot benefits. A little about us: we’re a French/German-American couple in our 30s, and this is our first baby. I tend to be thoughtful and preparation-oriented, and I’m looking for someone calm, grounded, emotionally attuned, and experienced supporting first-time parents. My hope is for a supportive and relatively low-intervention birth experience if medically appropriate, while staying flexible and pragmatic (not too attached to anything). I would love someone who can help us feel informed, supported, and steady throughout labor and the early postpartum transition. If it sounds like we may be a good fit, we'd love to connect and hear more about your approach, availability around my due date, pricing/packages, and experience with Kaiser and Carrot benefits. Warmly, Adèle
Looking for a birth doula to support an unmedicated hospital birth. This will be my third birth, but first time trying to without an epidural. Hoping for minimal intervention
I will be given birth in Mills-Peninsula. I want to maximum out what my insurance can cover for hiring a doula. I don’t have a birth plan yet.
Plan to give birth at ucsf mission bay. 3,000, medicated if needed. I just want a doula for support and to be an advocate during labor.
Hello, I was looking for a doula that was at least partially covered by Kaiser, Northern California. I was hoping to receive some prenatal, labor and delivery, and potentially some postpartum care (ideally more time that is alloted from Kaiser, and willing to pay out of pocket for the additional hours). Mostly looking for help with emotional support, education, and recovery support. Thanks and I look forward to hearing back! Kristine
