We have three kids with a fourth arriving in July. We are experienced parents, but TIRED and looking for help during birth and in the first 2-3 months after birth at night. I breastfeed and it normally falls on me at night, but my husband does help with diapers and non feeding needs overnight. Birth plan: have a healthy baby. That's looked different for all three kids, so we are open minded. Hospital: we aren't sure yet, but ideally a hospital with a robust NNICU

First time mom. Will give birth at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. My goal is a low-intervention, unmedicated birth. I would like to move freely, use non-medical comfort measures (am open to nitrous oxide), and allow labor to progess naturally whenever it is safe for me and my baby. I prefer to avoid unnecessary interventions, but understand circumstances can change and am open to medical recomendations if they become necessary. I appreciate being informed of my options and included in decisions. I prefer direct communication and a calm environment.
I am looking for a doula that accepts D.C Medicaid. I would like generalized support in preparation for a natural birth.
I’m not totally sure so starting there would be great haha
I plan to give birth at Inova Fairfax Hospital and use Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield to cover doula services (I confirmed they will cover). I plan to have a natural, unmedicated birth if possible, but due to certain risk factors my doctors think it is possible I will need a c-section.
