Giving birth in Katz hospital. Hoping insurance covers the doula. Want to have a vaginal birth and someone who has had experience with high risk pregnancy and women with cholestasis.
I need someone to hep my wife out with everything after labor and the baby. Must accept Northwell Direct Insurance.
I plan on giving natural birth in a hospital and vaginal birth
I would like to have assistance during the night, where my overnight helper is responsible for cleaning the bottles, washing, and feeding the baby, and possesses experience in handling a colicky infant.
I’ll be having a scheduled c-section and in need for a doulas help for the 3 nights hospital stay
Hi - I spoke with my insurance Cigna and they confirmed I have 60 days per calendar year with 16 hours per day during this time for a postpartum home health care for me and my newborn. No prior authorization is required. They didn't call it a doula but they called it a PP home health care. They couldn't give me a list of eligible providers, I kept getting either a list of home health care providers (which included nursing homes or Lenox Hill Radiology) or OBGYNs. I would like to connect and discuss how we can work together.
I would like to match with a doula that will help me prepare for birth, create a birth plan, and provide in-person support when the contractions start. Additionally, I would like a doula that will guide me and help me through breastfeeding and the first weeks of the baby. I plan to give birth at Mount Sinai West. I do not have a budget since I do not know how much this services cost, but I am open to check the offers. I do not have a birth plan yet and I would like to discuss that with the doula.
We plan to give birth in the hospital. Our budget is open ended. Our birth plan is pretty standard. My wife is Chinese and would like to follow TCM principles post-birth.
Hi, I plan to give birth Katz Womens Hospital LIJ in New Hyde Park. My budget is 2,000. My husband and I currently live in Maine but are moving to Long Beach in April. we have a lot of things up in the air right now and switching OBs half way through pregnancy has me a little anxious. I dont think I will be able to build the relationship I would like with my OB / OB office in NY as much as I would like. So I would like to work with a doula before during and after birth to have some support and a familiar face during this process. This is my first pregnancy. I am currently doing a hypnobirthing course. I dont not have a full outline birth plan yet.

Hello, I hope you’re well! I’m writing to ask about in-home doula and lactation support. I live in Rockaway Park, Queens. I’ve been meeting with a lactation consultant online, but think my baby and I need in-person support to help with latching and inefficient transfer of milk. I also wanted to discuss general postpartum support. I have Emblem Health insurance. Thank you and hope to connect soon! Best wishes, Diana
Help with latching and breastfeeding. English speaking
Plan to give birth in hospital, have no spousal support. Would rather have doula in room during birth process .. my parents, I’d like them to come in once the birth is complete and I’m covered, out of the respect of our culture, but I definitely would love support during that time. My budget.. well I’m struggling with medical bills and legal fees and no job so I am looking for free doulas in this difficult time, or would hope my doula takes my insurance for billing - I have anthem blue cross blue shield ppo/epo plan, if that’s something she takes. My birth plan is natural but if it gets overwhelmingly difficult then c section. I am thinking epidural (maybe?) but I really dont want to give birth on my back..main goal- no episiotomy unless absolutely necessary, next main goal- avoid tearing .. heard wet rags help with elasticity, and would advocate no men and minimal resident learning on me as I don’t want to be a guinea pig and have them examine my cervix every few. If you can come to Elmhurst hospital - on Jan 27, I’d love to connect !
giving birth in hospital, 3500 budget for full spectrum, physiological birth
I'm hoping to give birth at home in a relaxed setting, likely with only my husband present. I am looking for a midwife (ideally CNM) for my pregnancy as well as the delivery of my baby. I also would love to have a post party doula who will handle meals, laundry, assist with night feeds and changes etc.
I plan to give birth at Alexander Cohen hospital but live in Bedstuy Brooklyn. I would like a post partum doula/night nurse completely covered by my Anthem Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. By August I will also have an 18 month old as well.
I am so afraid of getting ppd again. This pregnancy was a surprise I want more support after the birth
I am a trans man. I am seeking a birth doula who is invested in supporting trans pregnancy and the many complications of experiencing dysphoria in pregnancy, and supporting my needs as a trans parent through the birthing process. Additionally, I have hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis, and persistent proteinuria and am seeing a high risk doctor for my birth. I would like to have a non-c-section in the hospital setting with my MFM practice, and be supported in my needs as a gestational parent and birthing person. Also I would like a doula who is equipped to support my wife as non-gestational parent and new queer parents. We have dealt with loss (she had an early miscarriage when we TTC'd earlier in life) and this has impacted my experience of pregnancy as well. I plan to give birth at NYU Langone. Our estimated budget for a doula is $2500, but we are just starting this journey and are open to alternatives.
Looking for a child birth, breast feeding, and postpartum doula.
Looking for a doula to support my first pregnancy, pre during and post labor. I have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and would like the Doula to accept this insurance. I plan to birth at NY Presbyterian lower manhattan and am a bit nervous so looking for someone with a calming and supportive energy.
