I am looking for an in-person lactation consultant in Jersey City to help with breastfeeding and latch issues for my newborn son, who is 3 days old. My milk is starting to come in, but we are struggling with a consistent latch. I would like hands-on support with positioning, milk transfer, pumping, and feeding strategies. I am a first-time mom and would prefer an IBCLC-certified consultant with newborn experience. My budget is flexible, and I am hoping to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

Hello, I had a preterm baby and we were latching her with a nipple shield but I have slowed down on that bc she lost weight at first and the pediatrician told me to stop. So we did and I’ve been pumping. I’m really not enjoying pumping so often and would love some help latching her and maybe getting off the nipple shield? She has a great latch to be honest.
