I didn’t know what questions I would have as a first time mom - but I was able to ask Debbie every day in that first week after returning home from the hospital. People believe that breastfeeding will just come naturally to you once you have a child. That was not my experience and talking to a lot of my peers, that was not theirs either. It’s so common to struggle and to feel like you are failing and it’s even harder to reach out and ask for help. Once I reached out to Debbie everything changed. She is more knowdgable about breastfeeding and lactation overall then I ever could describe with words. She is clearly an expert yet describes all her interventions in an accessible manner. She is descriptive, kind, supportive, and effective. Every time I had a struggle, she she was able to provide wonderful support and an accessible intervention that always worked. Debbie is absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend to anyone struggling with breastfeeding for any reason. Debbie was quick to return my initial email and promptly called me. She was available next day for an in person visit and I was comfortable with her in my home as she was polite and respectful. Debbie made suggestions for a pedi dentist and a chiropractor for my newborn. She also helped me with insurance paper work.
