Looking for information regarding a Doula or Midwife for early May delivery at NCH hospital in Naples, FL. Ideally we would be able to use HSA funds but that is negotiable. We don't have a full scale birth plan but right now we'd prefer unmedicated and unassisted (no forceps/vacuum) but obviously will do what's best and safest for baby.

NCH birth place $1000 or less I really just need someone there while I’m giving birth to be my voice. My husband and I HATE confrontation so we get pushed a lot despite me having a very specific birth plan. This will be my fifth birth so I know what I want and don’t want. I want 100% hands off, no intervention unless I have given complete informed consent.

I would love to give birth at home or a birthing center and not a hospital, my out of pocket budget would ideally be around 3,500 to 5,000 but am wondering if my insurance covers any costs with united Healthcare. My goal is to labor and deliver without pain medication if possible, while still giving birth in a hospital setting for safety. I’m hoping to work with someone who can act as an advocate and steady support person during labor—someone who can help me stay focused on my birth plan, encourage natural coping techniques, and help communicate my preferences with hospital staff if needed. Some things that are important to me: • Support for unmedicated labor techniques (movement, breathing, positioning, water therapy, etc.) • Help maintaining a calm environment and keeping me grounded during intense moments • Guidance for my partner/support person so they can help effectively • Advocacy for low intervention practices unless medically necessary • Experience supporting hospital births with minimal interventions I’m looking for someone who is comfortable working collaboratively with medical staff while also helping me stay informed and confident in my choices throughout labor.
