Planning to deliver at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Estimated budged $1500. I would like to try to have an unmedicated birth. Looking for a doula to help with this process.
Hi Maggie! In my past two births, I’ve experienced long, stalled, painful labors and have needed inductions. Because of that, I’m really looking for strong, hands-on support during labor—especially someone experienced with helping labor progress, using positioning, movement, and comfort techniques. I’m particularly interested in approaches like optimal positioning (Spinning Babies–type techniques), as well as support during longer or induced labors. It’s also important to me that my doula has experience/comfortability supporting diverse families or are mindful of cultural/religious preferences.
Wii need someone that can help with child education, feeding and tips
I feel comfortable at MG hospital. This is my second birth- first was a c section. Im hoping for as close to a natural birth as possible. If we have to get intervention its not the end of the world but definitely doing our best to avoid another c section. With my last delivery we went to the hospital way too early. I want to labor at home as much as possible. Last time I didnt have an advocate much less an informed advocate. I want to make sure I dont make that mistake again. Budget wise under 3k for out of pocket, im currently looking for a job so im not sure what insurance coverage will look like (im technically still on my husbands plan, but ive left the relationship and will be filing for divorce sooner rather than later so i dont want to rely on his insurance)
I would just like to be educated on how to give birth and educated on childbirth and just a support system I plan on giving birth at the hospital
I plan to give birth in the hospital. I do not have a budget yet because I am still learning the price ranges of what I need. I hope to have a natural, vaginal birth using research-backed techniques.
I am really wanted someone that can give me insight and help on achieving one of my biggest goals of going fully unmediated. I have thought about doing a home birth as I will feel more comfortable but I worry about if something goes wrong or do I go to the hospital after I give birth? I have also thought about making a birth plan and finding a hospital that won’t come in and question me 24/7 or give any pushback when I or my husband says no to something. We are hoping to go through insurance but if not possible then can talk about budget.
Hospital birth, I have gestational diabetes and will probably need to be induced. First time mom who needs help with birth planning and education so I can make informed decisions. Not sure on budget but would be ok with a new or studying doula if it’s cheaper.
We are first time parents-to-be that desire a little extra support to ensure we are preparing the right way, curb our fears, and someone to be there for the birth of our child. Hospital birth planned Budget $2000 Aiming for natural birth but supportive of other procedures if required

I would prefer a child birth center or home birth. I would like to birth in natural positions and use gravity to help with pushing. I would prefer female staff to be in the room during birthing process. I would prefer no epidural, and use natural home remedies for pain.

Plan to give birth at a hospital. Looking for support along the way with tailored advice and help with pregnancy and a little postpartum
I plan to give birth at Abbott Northwestern. This is my second child, my first was born at Regions which was a 30+ hour labor including PPH. I am hoping for a smoother experience and less anxiety this time! I'd like to find someone with several years of experience. My husband is a resident physician and it is important to us to find someone who works well with care teams. I am not sure yet about my postpartum doula needs and budget, just thinking I'd like to find help with that too.
