My name is Lisa, I'm expecting my first baby (a girl) on June 18th, 2026. I plan on giving birth at Langley Memorial Hospital. Labor plan is to wait for spontaneous labor to start, go unmedicated as possible, and to labor at home as long as possible. I don't have a doula or midwife and planned to rely on my husband to help support me through it. However, we just got word today that my husband was booked for a surgical procedure (PFO, to close a hole in his heart) scheduled for June 15th, 2026 in Vancouver (VGH) due to a stroke he suffered in August last year. With our daughter being due on June 18th, i feel like I've lost my biggest support for the birth. I'm hoping to connect with a provider that can help me when I'm in labor (at home and/or the hopsital) and be of some support that he would've given- helping with pain relief, hip squeezes, holding in different mobility positions etc. - things he can't do if he is recovering. I hope he is still able to be there at the hospital for when she's born, of course for his presence, affirmations, but mostly to simply have him there. But if it is on tht day or he is still on bed rest, then I want to have a backup. I would ask another family member, but I'm hoping a professional/birth doula would be equipped to help more on such short notice. I have no estimation on budget so I'm open to hearing what some rates are. Thank you so much!
I will be giving birth in surrey bc. Budget is $10,000. I will be having. C section therefore I need the support. I don’t have much family to help.
Subject: Inquiry About Birth Doula Support for April 2026 Due Date I am currently looking for a birth doula for my first pregnancy. This is my first baby, and my due date is April 22, 2026. I feel scared and nervous when I think about labour and birth. I am planning to have a vaginal birth and have some concerns about tearing. I am also hoping for a calm and peaceful birthing environment, as I tend to feel anxious in busy settings, such as rooms with frequent interruptions or medical students present. I am looking for a doula who can advocate for me and my baby and help me feel supported and informed throughout the process. I also wanted to ask whether your doulas are certified through a recognized organization, or if you are registered as a paramedical practitioner in British Columbia (such as a Naturopathic Doctor or Social Worker). I have extended health benefits through Pacific Blue Cross and would be using those benefits. Ideally, I am looking for someone who can submit claims under their registration or provide an official receipt that includes their registration number for reimbursement purposes. Please feel free to reach out to me if you feel we may be a good fit or if you have any questions for me. You can contact me by phone at 778-245-2618 or by email at tahirajat05@gmail.com. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. Warm regards, Tahira

I am looking for a doula , who is comfortable with me being of the Christian faith or if is a Christian doula. I plan to give birth in the hospital. I will be using Tri-care , as I am active duty. I’m not sure if a birth plan yet. Thank you in advance 💕
Hi Caitlin, I wanted to find out if you offer night nurse services? We will be in oak harbor all summer, from June 2nd onwards through the end of August, and we are looking to have a night nurse come to our home from 10pm-6am (or whatever works) on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays. If this isn’t a service you offer - do you know of any other doulas in the area who do?
Looking for a doula to help me during birth and also with preparation of a birth plan.
