About me
☀️Hey everyone!☀️ 💗My name is Yasmine. I am a local full spectrum (birth and postpartum) doula and midwife assistant trained. 🤰🏻My love for pregnancy and birth started when I was a little girl. I was the oldest sibling of 4 and oldest to a million cousins😂. When I was pregnant with my 1st born, I was unsure of what a doula was. I submerged myself with so much research on pregnancy and the birth process. When I became pregnant with my 2nd, I found myself being a doula for friends and mutual friends. During that time, I also searched for a doula for myself and found that I could not afford one out of pocket, as I was on Medicaid. After helping more friends during pregnancies, I took a doula training course and was informed that Medicaid covers doula services. I searched for one in my area and realized there were ZERO! I made it my mission to take the extra steps to get state certified and Medicaid approved. I am proud to say I am the first Medicaid doula in Culpeper County. I also cater to Fauquier, Rappahannock, Madison, and Orange County. (Further upon availability) 🎯My goal is to provide quality, compassionate, empathetic, evidence based support to women who are more likely to get taken advantage of and neglected. As a woman of color, I know what it is like to feel dismissed and talked down to by the birth team/ healthcare system. I want to help you have the tools and confidence in your informed decisions.
