We’re expecting our first baby this summer and are hoping to find a compassionate doula who would be a good fit for our birth team. We’re planning a hospital water birth with the midwives through Kaiser and are hoping for an unmedicated, supportive, calm birth experience. We don’t have family support nearby, since we are from out of state so it’s really just my husband and me navigating this new season together. I’m also transitioning out of work during pregnancy, so while we deeply value doula care, we’re working within a budget of about $500–$1000 and would be incredibly grateful for anyone who offers sliding-scale support or flexible options. More than anything, we’re hoping to find someone warm, grounded, encouraging, and supportive of physiologic birth. If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to connect 💛

I just need someone to come to my home and help me get up to go use the bathroom and to hand me things from the kitchen or other room for my one year old- light cleaning- emotional support-snack preparing and someone who is willing to watch movies with me while I recover for two weeks. Will not ask you to change diapers!! Preferably someone who speaks Spanish I am low income and was wondering if any doula accepts Molina insurance.

My partner is schizoeffective and I would like a doula who is well educated and experienced in mental health so that it will better help me through the delivery. Hello, I am contacting you about my Baby Sister, Elaina Black. Of course we are doing this all last minute! She really wants to have a natural labor, she is giving birth in a hospital, but the baby is measuring bigger than her tummy and it dawned on me that it would probably be a good idea to have an experienced Doula helping her with positioning and breathing, etc. her husband, and I will be there for emotional support, but quite honestly I’ll probably just be crying the entire time. I wanted to find out what insurance you accept. She has dual coverage both United healthcare, which is private insurance through her company and TRICARE via being a military wife. She is giving birth at Tacoma General Hospital Insurance covers doula support/care/treatment I want a natural birth if possible.

I'm giving birth at a hospital but would love support for postpartum. I received support postpartum for my first and I think it helped my mental health immensely during that first month. I am looking for something similar for the second time around. My birth plan isn't really detailed, just push against inductions, pitocin or c-sections unless they are medically necessary. I want to give birth vaginally again and use movement and different positions for as long as I can before pain meds. I did get an epidural the first time and it went fantastically so I am not against them. I don't know what to budget as I don't know what these services cost around my area. Although PP is my main need, I wouldn't mind an early session to help me prepare for birth and give any advice to help me stick closely to my birth plan.
