I plan to have an epidural during labor I would like avoid unnecessary things such as patocine during labor sense iv learned that this is bad for the baby during labor if I don’t need it. Trouble latching baby has tongue tie interested in tongue tie release

Cole was born at 34 weeks. Was in the nicu for 18 days. Has a decent latch (mostly with shield) and was able to transfer milk in nicu with weighted feeds. Currently latching 2-3 times a day and supplementing with bottle after feeds. Concerned with striking balance of exclusively nursing and nursing/supplementing feed and when he is able to make the transition.
