Hi, I’m Jennifer! I’m a doula and traditional birth apprentice, here to walk beside you through pregnancy, the birth process, and postpartum. My approach blends modern doula support with traditional birth knowledge — from nutrition and movement to herbs and emotional care — because I believe tending to the whole person creates the foundation for a positive birth experience. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, midwife-led birth, or exploring out-of-hospital options, my role is to hold space, provide grounded guidance, and make sure you feel supported, informed, and respected every step of the way.

Hello to all current and future mothers and families! My name is Sarah. I’ll be turning 20 on July 7th, 2025, and I was born right here in Calgary at Foothills Hospital. I currently work in both the hospitality and retail industries while preparing to launch my practice as a Holistic Doula. Starting a new business comes with its fair share of challenges—especially while working two jobs—but I’m dedicated to growing this practice and creating a supportive, nurturing space for individuals and families as they prepare to welcome a new life. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, singing, swimming, and occasionally acting or dancing. I’ve always had a strong connection with children and have a natural instinct to nurture and protect them. My friends and family often say I bring calm and comfort wherever I go, something I strive to offer every client I work with. As a doula, my goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care to all clients. I welcome people from all walks of life and am committed to treating every individual with dignity, respect, and kindness. I’m especially passionate about supporting those who may not always receive the care and understanding they deserve, including young mothers, individuals with disabilities, and others navigating unique circumstances. Looking forward to connecting with you all! 🤰🫄🫃 Love, Sarah Annaliese

Welcome - my name is Lindsey, and I'm the doula behind Blue Hazel Birth Services. Supporting people through their birth journey has been a dream of mine for over a decade and I feel blessed to have been living this dream for the past 2 years. I have a deep passion for nurturing and empowering those around me through challenging transitions, and my love of all things birth has combined with this to lead me into a career as a birth doula. I believe that birth is a sacred experience for the birthing family and my role as your birth doula is always to support and empower you through your experience - this means creating and holding space for you, to your level of comfort with the birth experience. It means never overshadowing or replacing the connection that is built between partners during the birth experience - only ever heightening it. I believe that all birthing people and their partners have the right to support through their birth experience, should they desire it. This means that I support both couples and single birthers of all backgrounds without discrimination. No matter where you are on your journey towards birth, you are welcome here. Please visit my website at www.bluehazelbirthservices.com for more information, contact information and a full suite of testimonials. I can't wait to meet you.
Lindsey was the emotional and physical support that I wish I would have had with my first baby! Birth is an out of this world experience, and Lindsey’s touch and voice brought me back into my body. She was so sweet and nurturing and I felt so well taken care of the whole time. I couldn’t have done it without her.

All you want is to enjoy pregnancy; not be scared out of your mind, for birth not to freaking hurt, your partner to not faint, and maybe, just maybe to sleep at some point! Hi I’m Riley (she/her), your sanity-saving birth & baby bestie (aka doula). I take the guesswork out of preparing for birth and taking care of your baby; saving you time and energy to achieve the elusive work-life balance.
At first, I didn’t think I wanted a doula. I was using midwives and didn’t think a doula would be necessary. However, after reading stats on how doulas can help reduce C-section rates -and knowing I wanted a VBAC- I decided to have Riley be my doula anyway. I’m so happy I did as Riley was an essential part of our team! She provided my husband and I with just enough support while also allowing us space to do our thing. She was as involved as we wanted her to be from giving massages and speaking affirmations during labour to feeding me toast while I held my newborn baby after his birth. She sat with me before my labour discussing my fears and hopes, and in the days following my labour she sat with me and processed all that had happened with me. I’m so grateful for how she supported me through the whole experience and look forward to having her at any future births I may have.

Hi, my name is Maida and I'm a certified birth, and trained postpartum doula. My primary focus is birth support, but if you also want a little bit of help transitioning once you get home with baby, I'm available for that too. I tend to be a calming, quiet presence, and my clients usually comment on how I keep them feeling steady and grounded during birth. I live in Calgary with my husband and two pre/teen boys. I love to garden, knit, and dance. I bake all the things, and can't wait to settle down on a small farm someday.

Hello! I’m Nicole, a Birth and Postpartum Doula based in Calgary, Alberta. My motto is simple: Your body. Your baby. YOUR choice. Period. Every human deserves full autonomy over their body—and my role as a doula is to walk beside you through life’s beginnings, endings, and everything in between. Alongside birth and postpartum care, I also serve as an End-of-Life Doula and am expanding my training in infertility, pregnancy, and infant loss support. In addition to being obsessed with babies—just call me the baby whisperer—I’m an animal lover, nature enthusiast, and strong advocate for “bringing back the village.” My practice is rooted in respect for all identities and lived experiences, with a focus on creating compassionate spaces where every voice is celebrated. Supporting families through birth and postpartum is both an honour and a calling I hold close to my heart. Through my own journey of learning how to advocate for myself and navigate our healthcare system, I understand how vital it is to feel heard and respected. My goal is to help give people their voice back—offering unbiased, non-judgmental support, evidence-based information, and personalized care, from prenatal visits and continuous labour support to postpartum guidance and community referrals. I’m especially passionate about serving underserved communities, advocating for inclusive, equitable care, and supporting those who’ve felt dismissed or unheard in healthcare settings. Outside of doula work, I enjoy hiking, camping, cooking, travelling, and going on adventures with my partner and our dog. I firmly believe everyone deserves compassionate support, which is why I offer a sliding scale for my services—making doula care accessible to all families.

Tracy's passion for serving and nurturing people goes way back to childhood. While she often said she wanted to be a waitress when she grew up, she absolutely loved babies and simply wanted to be a mommy - little did she know the 2 were synonymous! Fast forward to adulthood where, thanks to reality TV shows, she became an armchair birth expert. Only to find out with her first pregnancy and birth that she really knew nothing. After having her second baby, she stumbled across doula work and realized how beneficial a supportive birth professional could be, thus realizing her true passion in life (finally!!) Nurturer + passionate about birth + love of babies = the perfect mix for doula work! Tracy is a Certified Childbirth Educator, Birth Doula & Postpartum Doula. When not working, Tracy can can be found spending quality time with her 3 kids. Preferably outside - camping, travelling, seeing and exploring. Or sometimes inside - reading, bingeing on Netflix or blaring music way too loud while she embarrasses her kids with her awesome dance moves.

I have always loved babies. At family gatherings you would usually find me snuggling the newborns and entertaining the other kiddos. It wasn’t until I gave birth in 2015 that something shifted and I was living the postpartum experience myself. I realised that yes, I loved all things birth and I consider myself a certified birth nerd, but there was something missing. I had just had this huge transformation but everyone just wanted to hold my baby. Who was holding me? That part of your story matters. As a parent and birth worker I will walk along side you as you navigate this new version of you - and I am grateful to see it.

Edmonton, Alberta
Hi my name is Madi, and I’m a mixed Acadian/Migmaw birth and end-of-life doula in the Edmonton area. I decided to become a birth worker and end-of-life doula because I believe every single person deserves an advocate. Every person deserves autonomy and the right to make decisions. Every person should be allowed access to traditional medicines. Trained through DONA, I have practiced as a birth worker for about two years. I have serviced births in every Edmonton hospital, and I have experience with at home water births. Birthing to me is a sacred act that should be seen as just that - sacred. It is beautiful, incredibly difficult, joyful and life-changing. When it comes to my end-of-life, I have been certified as an Indigenous End of Life doula via Lifting Their Minds End-of-Life Indigenous Doula Training. It is incredibly important to me to hold space for both the entrance of life, and the departure of life as both worlds can sometimes coincide. I look forward to hopefully connecting with some of you x

Facing numerous medical interventions during her cancer battle, Brittney recognized the importance of reclaiming control over her body during childbirth. Despite a first birth ending in a c-section, the overall prenatal, labor, and postpartum experience remained positive, thanks to the support of a wonderful midwife and labor companion. For her second birth, she achieved an empowering home water birth with the assistance of her midwife and doula. Brittney firmly believes in the strength and power of all women to manifest the birth they envision. As a doula, her goal is to provide unwavering support, fostering a peaceful birthing environment that transforms this experience into a moment of empowerment. Drawing from her personal journey, Brittney is dedicated to helping other mothers create empowering and positive birthing experiences, ensuring they emerge with a profound sense of strength, confidence, and self-discovery. Thank you Brittney, for your support, for your gifts, for your guidance! I could not have had the confidence I had without you and deliver a 42 weeks baby unmedicated without you.
