We are seeking an experienced overnight newborn caregiver for occasional support in our home in the NoMa neighborhood of Washington, DC. Our son is a newborn, and we're looking for someone who can provide attentive overnight care so parents can get a full night's rest. Responsibilities may include bottle feeding, diaper changes, soothing, monitoring, and helping maintain a calm overnight routine. We are formula feeding. This is not a recurring weekly position. Preferred qualifications: * Experience caring for newborns and young infants * CPR/First Aid certification * Comfortable with overnight shifts and maintaining a quiet, safe sleep environment * Strong references from previous families Schedule: * Ad hoc overnight care * Approximately 9-hour shifts * 1-3 nights per month Compensation: * $30-$45/hour, depending on experience and qualifications We're looking for someone reliable, professional, communicative, and experienced with newborns. If you're interested, we'd love to learn more about your background and experience supporting families during the newborn stage.
We have three kids with a fourth arriving in July. We are experienced parents, but TIRED and looking for help during birth and in the first 2-3 months after birth at night. I breastfeed and it normally falls on me at night, but my husband does help with diapers and non feeding needs overnight. Birth plan: have a healthy baby. That's looked different for all three kids, so we are open minded. Hospital: we aren't sure yet, but ideally a hospital with a robust NNICU
