Find Birth Doula Jobs Near Panama City, FL

Hello I live in Bonifay but am planning to have a natural birth at Gulf Coast (HCA) hospital in Panama City. I really wanted to do a home/birthing center birth but because of insurance and costs of those services, unfortunately I'm having to do it at the hospital. I'm worried bc of training and hospital policy they will not listen to my needs and would like to have someone there who can advocate for me. So just checking if you are taking new mothers still and what the cost would be. Thank you!

I plan to give birth in Panama City florida, open to home birth as I hate hospitals but will go to hospital. I gave birth last July 2025 for the first time. Got pregnant again almost immediately. didn't realize I was pregnant until a few months ago. had a doula for last birth and did placenta encapsulation would like to do that again. had very traumatic birth regarding how hospital staff treated me so I am anxious. interested in post partum services as well as I am so close to giving birth. estimated budget $2000. Birth plan is to avoid more birth trauma, get epidural if needed, avoid being bullied into c-section (gave birth vaginally the first time but they really tried to force me into c section), delayed cord clamping, vitamin k oral drops no immediate vaccines, autonomy and peace. Requirements for the provider- possible registered nurse or midwife-at least 2 years birth experience-children of their own-upfront about certifications and references. I am 35 years old, traumatized from previous birth in hospital and disturbed to be pregnant again so soon. Would like placenta encapsulation done for me, possible post partum massage, care for me as mother and to help with breastfeeding as I solely pumped milk last time and don't want to have to do that again. may consider help with 10 moth old baby and or some light house keeping duties. Estimated budget $2000.

I will plan to be delivering at HCA gulf Coast in town and have been following with a midwife but want to make sure I have someone who can help me know how to get through the birth experience.

I plan to give birth at Gulf Coast hospital in Panama City FL. I am mainly looking for someone who can assist with my child’s birth and ensuring all my desires are advocated for. My birth preferences/plan essentially boil down to wanting as little medical intervention as possible while still giving birth in a hospital (in case something serious/life threatening happen). I also have plans to exclusively breast feed and I’d love help to make sure that I start off on the right foot with that journey. I do not have an estimated budget as I’m sure the costs associated to what I am needing are very customized and specific to my needs. I am open to discussing what any doula has to offer me and what they believe the appropriate going rate for their services should be. I’d then make an informed decision from there if I believe it’s appropriate to move forward with their support.
