Additional duties: Definitely sleep training when that becomes relevant, postpartum care (e.g., checking on mom), some light cleaning/tidying/laundry (but only when the baby is sleeping well). Estimated budget: Depends on hourly rate, but looking for 8 weeks of 2-3x per week visits.
I plan to give birth at Abbott Northwestern. This is my second child, my first was born at Regions which was a 30+ hour labor including PPH. I am hoping for a smoother experience and less anxiety this time! I'd like to find someone with several years of experience. My husband is a resident physician and it is important to us to find someone who works well with care teams. I am not sure yet about my postpartum doula needs and budget, just thinking I'd like to find help with that too.

Have an 8 mo old right now but I also have a 10 cm fibroid planning to have it surgically removed May 6! Wondering your thoughts on pregnancy afterwards any advice is helpful
I’m planning on birthing at United Hospital in Saint Paul. I have about $1500-2500 to spend. Provider needs to be a certified/licensed doula. I’m looking for someone to be there for the birth and maybe 3-5 overnight postpartum shifts.
Hi Maggie! In my past two births, I’ve experienced long, stalled, painful labors and have needed inductions. Because of that, I’m really looking for strong, hands-on support during labor—especially someone experienced with helping labor progress, using positioning, movement, and comfort techniques. I’m particularly interested in approaches like optimal positioning (Spinning Babies–type techniques), as well as support during longer or induced labors. It’s also important to me that my doula has experience/comfortability supporting diverse families or are mindful of cultural/religious preferences.
Hello! My name is Haddie. I plan on giving birth at the Lakeview Hospital/birthcenter in Stillwater. I am on Medicaid and would be paying through that. My birth plan is to have a positive vaginal birth. I plan on getting an epidural. I had a fairly experience last pregnancy and labor/delivery and hoping to keep that going. I am looking for someone to help be my advocate, help me have a positive birth, and help me breastfeed successfully after.
Looking for a postpartum doula for nights to help support parents getting sleep and care and sleep success for newborn
Nighttime care, help with newborn care overnight, respond to baby/feed/change baby as needed overnight.
Im working with mn birth center in st.paul and they said I need to find a dual. And I guess they have to be willing to come to my house.
I will be giving birth at United Hospital. I have health partners insurance through the state, so any services would need to be covered by insurance. I am hoping for as natural of a birth as possible with as few interventions as possible however, I am a high risk pregnancy due to type one diabetes. (my diabetes is decently well controlled and is not the same as type two diabetes.) I had a lot of trauma from my last birthing experience, I didn’t know my rights and the doctors were VERY controlling and even forceful with me.
First pregnancy, would like to try to go unmedicated with the exception of non invasive pain management with no lasting effects on baby
Plan to give birth at a hospital. Looking for support along the way with tailored advice and help with pregnancy and a little postpartum
Starting to tentatively look for doulas for my second birth. I’ve never had a doula before but I’m very interested. I plan to give birth at the Ridgeview birth center in Waconia, MN. My budget can’t go higher than 2k including postpartum packages. I enjoyed a medicated birth with my first baby but wished I could have labored longer before getting the epidural—I had exclusive back labor and it was hard to make any decisions as I couldn’t move without having severe contractions. I’m hoping for a more peaceful second birth where I don’t have to be the most educated advocate in the room (my mom and husband were very supportive but didn’t have any background in back labor). As for postpartum, I’m interested in some form of small support since we’re transitioning to two kids and my first won’t quite be 18 months by my due date for baby #2. It will be a lot!
We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable doula that can help my husband and I manage house duties and provide information/support regarding feeding, sleep schedule, soothing techniques, etc. We would like an overnight doula to help us with our sleep hygiene. We would ideally like someone who is up to date on evidence based practices.
