About me

Marcelle (she/her) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), an RN since 1999 and founder of Wholesome Lactation Care, PLLC. As a mother of two, Marcelle became inspired by her own breastfeeding journey. Most of her career has been focused on working with children and families in their homes and through community-based programs. In 2012, she oversaw a teen parent program in a Florida high school. She initiated breast/chestfeeding support programs along with childbirth education to prepare teen parents. As a result, parents breastfed their infants at a much higher rate than average. There was a significant reduction in infections among babies which allowed parents to stay in school and complete their education. This led her to become an IBCLC in 2017. She currently works as an IBCLC in her community and brings her expertise to help empower families with feeding issues such as mastitis, difficulty latching, nipple pain, low milk supply, exclusive pumping, engorged breasts, tongue-tie, laryngomalacia, low weight gain, colic and much more. Post Helene, she volunteered with NC SAFE Infant feeding program. She also brings 20 years of herbalism and nutrition knowledge and will customize your visit to your needs. Marcelle takes multiple health insurances and can do home visits, telehealth and office visits.

Are you having problems with breast or chestfeeding? Or do you need help with pumping milk? I do home and virtual visits. I can help with any latching, low milk supply issues, painful feeds as well as prenatal consultations to be prepared and back-to-work consultations.
