About me

I’m Magdalena, a certified birth and postpartum doula serving Sonoma and Marin counties. I’ve loved pregnancy, birth, and babies for as long as I can remember; growing up in a big family, there was always a little one around! I had the privilege of witnessing all of my siblings’ births, both at home and in the hospital, and those experiences deeply shaped my calling to this work. I truly love being a doula. Supporting families through birth is the greatest honor, and I believe there is no single “right” way to give birth. I support every type of birth: planned cesareans, epidural births, unmedicated hospital births, and home births. While not every family feels they need a doula, I believe a doula can make every birth experience more supported, informed, and positive. My priority is always for you to feel safe, respected, and empowered as you welcome your baby. Because access matters, I prioritize serving clients who use their insurance benefits for doula support. I accept Kaiser Permanente, Partnership Health Plan, and Medi-Cal. My practice is rooted in compassion, evidence-based care, and a commitment to making doula support available to every family who wants it.

Service introduction

As a birth and postpartum doula, I provide emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks with your baby. During birth, I help you feel prepared, advocate for your wishes, and create a calm, supportive environment. After your baby arrives, I offer hands-on postpartum care. Whether that means newborn care, feeding support, rest for parents, or simply having a compassionate presence in your home. My goal is to help you feel confident, cared for, and never alone on this journey.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maggie and the support she provided throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. From the very beginning, Maggie was attentive, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made sure I felt prepared for every step of the process, answering all my questions with patience and care. During labor, Maggie was a calming presence, offering both emotional and physical support in exactly the way I needed. She helped me stay focused and empowered throughout, and her reassuring energy made all the difference during those intense moments. What really stands out about Maggie is how much she truly cares. She went above and beyond to check in on me and my baby after the birth, making sure we were both adjusting well. Her postpartum care was just as thoughtful and attentive as her support during labor, and it helped me feel confident and cared for as I navigated new motherhood. If you’re looking for a doula who will be a steady, compassionate guide and advocate throughout your journey, I highly recommend Maggie. She’s truly exceptional at what she does, and I’m so grateful for the role she played in bringing my baby into the world!
