Hello, I am a first time mom and little nervous about giving birth. I have blue cross community heath plan and wondering if you work with that insurance? I want to breast feed and will need help learning how. I will be delivering at elmhurst hospital with endeavor health. Looking for a doula that will support me and help me advocate for myself as well as keep my birth partner calm.

Rush hospital is where I plan to give birth (main campus). My estimated budget would be 1500-2000. My birth plan is still being developed. I know I would want an epidural and pain meds as I’m not good with pain. I don’t really want to be induced unless medically necessary. I would like to allow my body to naturally take its course. Looking for post partum doula / night nurse capabilities for a provider that accepts BCBS insurance (I had medical necessity but have struggled to find provider). 38 years old and delivered previous two children without an epidural and with the support of a doula.

I'm giving birth at Central Dupage Hospital. I learned today that my insurance plan covers doulas that are in-network, so ideally they would be in-network with BCBSIL. I am currently planning to give birth at cdh. I’m not sure what an appropriate budget for a doula is so I guess I’m interested in rates. I’d hope to not go over a thousand dollars but like I said I don’t know what is appropriate. I’d like to give birth with the least amount of interventions possible. I will be doing a vbac labor, my first baby will be 2 and 2 months at the date of the delivery and was a cesarían because she was breech presenting.
