“In birth, we find the courage we never knew we had and the strength that was there all along.” – Marcie Macari Hi, my name is Bria Comer. I am a birth doula, as well as a dance teacher, licensed physical therapist assistant, and a mama to my son, daughter, and dog! I am so excited that you are considering the idea of a doula. I believe that everyone deserves the support and knowledge of a birth doula to help make childbirth the beautiful journey it should be. My background in dance and physical therapy, in combination with my doula training, gives me valuable insight into the physiology of the perinatal time frame to help you embrace the power within your body. I have seen firsthand how positioning, massage techniques, intentional movement, and breath work help birthing individuals. My goal as your doula is first and foremost to support you with your needs and desires, whatever decisions you make. I am also interested in helping you learn about normal physiology and movement practices during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum to help empower and educate you. This will help you be in tune with your body and its needs as well, so you can continue to find strength and balance beyond our time together! I also use my knowledge and experience from over 6 years of working in pediatric physical therapy to help educate and guide you on normal infant development, if you are interested. LGBT+ friendly 💜

Hi, I’m Gabrielle Taylor. I’ve been supporting mothers and newborns since February 2022, but my passion for women’s health began in my teenage years. I’m a proud mother of two—my children were born in 2017 and 2021. **I have teamed up with Danica Day to bring quality care and support to Frederick and the surrounding areas. You can read more about Danica here: https://www.dawnandduskdoulaco.com/** My first birth, a cesarean, was emotionally traumatic and left me feeling unsupported and unheard. In contrast, the birth of my second child was an empowering VBAC, made possible by the compassionate presence of an incredible doula. That experience was truly life-changing—it showed me the profound difference that informed, empathetic support can make. Now, my mission is to offer that same kind of transformative support to other families. Whether you're navigating your first birth or welcoming another child into your home, I’m here to help you feel confident, cared for, and connected. In today’s fast-paced world, motherhood can feel isolating—but I'm here to bridge that gap so you feel supported. I’m also currently pursuing my nursing degree to deepen my knowledge and enhance the care I provide as a doula. I’m honored to walk alongside you during this pivotal journey.
I can’t say enough about Gabby. She was with us for 8 weeks as a post partum doula/newborn care specialist at night. She was so great with my baby and took extra care following his lip and tongue tie procedure to make sure he was comforted and did his post op oral exercises. As a new mom, I was nervous about having someone in my home, but Gabby was so warm and kind and answered all of my questions and provided helpful insights from her experience.

Danica did an outstanding job getting to know our family, meeting our needs, and supporting us in the early days after we brought our daughter home. She is extremely professional and punctual, she immediately built trust with us, and supported us with night feeds, bottle cleaning, and even some light house keeping. 10/10 recommend her for anyone looking for a little extra sleep the first few nights home.

My love for birth started at a young age, but it wasn't until I birthed my daughter that I found my passion. I believe that everyone's pregnancy journey and birth story matters. You will carry your experience with you for the rest of your life. As your doula and birth photographer, it is my responsibility to support you, advocate for you when necessary, and document the beautiful moments of your birth. I offer support for all types of families. I am also bilingual (Spanish/English). It does not matter if you are having a home birth or a scheduled cesarean. My main goal is to ensure that you have all of the information you need in order to make an informed decision. No matter what decision you make, I will always have your back. You are strong, capable, and powerful. And I'll be there to remind you every time you doubt yourself.
Carla was an absolute angel during my pregnancy and birth experience. She provided unwavering support and guidance every step of the way, ensuring that I had the tools needed for the entire process. Her calm demeanor and extensive knowledge of childbirth made me feel safe, and I truly couldn't have done it without her. My name is Hannah and I’m a birth and postpartum doula. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education and taught kindergarten until my son was born in 2020. Although my role adjusted when becoming a mother, a fire was ignited through my birth experience, and I started researching how I could make a difference. After my daughter’s redeeming home birth in 2022, I knew that becoming a doula was a tangible way I could impact mothers and the next generation for the better. By providing emotional support, evidence-based information and physical support, I strive to make the family’s life changing, transitional time a smoother one. I am trained through DONA as a birth doula and Lifespan doulas for postpartum work. Besides classroom experience, I also have nannied for several families over the past few years. It is my goal as your birth or postpartum doula to make you feel seen and heard. In my free time, you can find me spending time with my kiddos outside, serving at our local church, grabbing coffee with friends, going on family walks or experimenting in the kitchen.
Hannah was able to provide me with virtual and in person support for the birth of my baby. She quickly responded to any question I had and gave me clear, practical information tailored for me. She shares your emotional journey in a way that makes you feel empowered and validated for any feeling or question you may have. She is sweet, knowledgable, and comprehensive about what she knows. She is prepared with lots of different ideas for pain-reducing techniques during the natural birth of my baby as well as providing alternatives when needed. She displays an assertive, yet respectful bedside manner and advocates to the doctors and nurses with for your best interest. She checked in frequently and even reached out many times after my baby was born to check not only on the baby, but also me as well to see how I was doing physically and emotionally. She took lots of time to help me find out an answer to a pain I was having after birth and resolve it. She is easy to talk to and understanding of what you are going through. I would highly recommend hiring Hannah Wright to be your doula.

Are you feeling excited to meet your little one, but anxious about labor and unsure what to expect? Do you find yourself spending hours getting lost down internet rabbit holes researching pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, but still lack confidence as your due date approaches? Trust me, I’ve been there! My journey to becoming a birth doula was born from my own experience with childbirth. In 2022, while living abroad, I gave birth to my son far from family and without much of a support system. I found myself scared and overwhelmed by the intensity of labor, longing for someone to guide and reassure me. That experience opened my eyes to the vital role emotional and physical support plays in childbirth, and it’s why I’m here—to offer the same kind of guidance and reassurance I longed for during my labor so you can enter those fragile early postpartum days feeling calm, empowered, and supported. I share a life filled with joy in Northern Virginia with my husband and our two children, who are the center of my heart and universe. Family is everything to me, and it’s because of them that I’m so passionate about helping others navigate the journey of birth. My life has taken me to many places, including three years spent living in Germany and eight months deployed to Afghanistan. These experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying calm and grounded, especially in times of uncertainty – and I bring these lessons into my work as a doula. As your doula, my goal is to help you feel confident, empowered, and supported every step of the way. Whether you’re preparing for a hospital birth, home birth, or birth center, I will provide personalized, nurturing support that aligns with your goals. I’m here to help you navigate the unknowns and trust in your body’s ability to bring your baby into the world with strength and love. Motherhood is an indescribable gift, and I look forward to working together to nurture a birth experience that honors you, your choices, and your incredible journey.

I strongly believe in creating a positive space to plan for, and experience, birth. My goal is to create a space of peace and confidence when it's time to meet your baby, and utilizing all of my life's knowledge and training to support your inherent wisdom to give birth. I am is known to be very empathetic. I LOVE naps and dark chocolate, and am a self-proclaimed introvert, despite what people think :). As a wife and mother of 4: ages 20, 16, and 6, I absolutely adores my children. I was called to become a Doula after experiencing 3 traumatic births, postpartum depression, and the death of one of my twin babies, all with little to no support. Through therapy, I realized I wanted to help other families so they do not have to experience these types of difficult things alone. I have an active mind and am always learning - a "forever student". I have trouble sitting still and love utilizing my many trainings and certifications to support my clients. I've been told, many times, I have a steady, calming demeanor, allowing my clients to relax in my presence and to feel held. When not supporting families in birth and postpartum, you can find me listening to my favorite audiobooks and podcasts, gardening, making art, and laughing at dad jokes!

Baltimore based birth and postpartum doula, committed to empowering mamas who’ve faced birth trauma by supporting them towards a healing and empowering birth experience. My focus is to help you find your voice and help guide you towards your dream experience.
We had a wonderful experience with Jenny as our night doula. She cared for our newborn daughter over the course of a month and a half. She was communicative, prompt, and immediately put us at ease with her warm and reassuring presence. Not only was she a help to us in caring for our daughter overnight, but she always made sure to check in with me and how I was doing postpartum, and was generally just lovely to chat with and get to know. Her professionalism, trustworthiness, and knowledge were evident from the start, and she handled everything with such care and attention. We felt completely supported, and can't recommend her highly enough!

I’m Chaya, a DMV native and proud mama to three beautiful children. Since beginning my student midwifery journey in 2021, I’ve come to truly appreciate the profound importance of ‘intrinsic’ birth. My journey started in nursing, with the aim of becoming a labor and delivery nurse. I earned my CNA license, NRP/CPR certification, and full-spectrum doula certification in 2019. In 2020, I began apprenticing as a student and birth assistant for a local home birth midwife. Running Intrinsic Motherhood and working part-time as a clinical tech in a local hospital’s L&D unit has further fueled my passion. I dream of becoming a CNM and opening my own practice to offer families the comfort of home births, just as I experienced with my own children. As a placenta encapsulation specialist, birth photographer, and perinatal advocate, my heart has always been set on supporting mothers during this sacred time. From a young age, I knew I wanted to guide mothers through their journey into motherhood, and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I believe every person deserves an informed and autonomous birth, no matter the path they choose. Advocacy is at the core of doula work, and it’s what drives me to continue in this field. Over the past few years, I’ve had the honor of attending over 200 births as a doula, student midwife, and tech. While I specialize in natural intrinsic birth, I support all birth choices and help mothers find their own path. The bonds I form with my clients often turn into close, loving friendships. I prioritize mutual trust and safety, ensuring you can confide in and rely on me during the most sacred times.
I cannot put into words how grateful I am for the support, care, and love that Chaya provided during my pregnancy and birth. From the very first conversation, I felt heard, empowered, and truly cared for. My doula was a calming presence, always reassuring me and my partner and helping us confidently navigate every step. When labor started, she was by my side, offering comfort measures, encouragement, and unwavering support. Her knowledge and experience made all the difference—I truly don’t know how we would have done it without her! She helped me advocate for myself and reminded me that my voice mattered in my birth journey. Thanks to her, I felt strong, capable, and completely supported. Our birth was a beautiful experience, and I owe so much of that to her presence. If you are looking for a doula who is compassionate, knowledgeable, and wholeheartedly invested in your birth experience, look no further. Forever grateful,
