My name is Ronae (pronounced like the more commonly spelled "Renee"), and I am a Certified Birth Doula and Certified Lactation Specialist located in Fort Wayne, IN. I have always been passionate about serving and encouraging other women. Through my own parenting journey over the years, I have developed an avid interest in all things birth and breastfeeding. I have been a certified Birth Doula since 2020 through ICEA and Global Birth Community and have been a Certified Lactation Specialist (CLS through LEC) since 2021. I have experience in supporting births in hospitals, in birth centers, and at home. I believe that women have a right to nonjudgmental encouragement and support throughout their birth story, whatever they choose and wherever it takes them. I am a passionate and experienced Lactation Consultant with over 16 years of experience helping women succeed on their breastfeeding journeys. I have always had a passion for learning more about breastfeeding in college and decided to go onto to become an IBCLC shortly after. Once I experienced breastfeeding my four children, I found that each breastfeeding journey was much different. I found that breastfeeding is not just about the benefits and nourishment for the baby, but the empowerment I felt made me more determined to help other moms achieve that same feeling. I received amazing support from other lactation colleagues and my fellow mom-to-mom community, which made me even more equipped to give moms peer and professional support rooted in evidence-based practice. I am dedicated and excited to be providing families with the tools they need to achieve their own personal feeding goals. I offer virtual and home visits for prenatal and postpartum moms, breastfeeding education classes, back to work classes, and nutrition and breastfeeding classes.

I am the founder and creator of Appointed Time Doula Services. I am a graduate of Dona International where I attained my Birth Doula Certification. My name is Josie Patton. I'm a wife and mom of 4 boys including a set of twins, all of whom I have or am currently breastfeeding. I obtained my CLS in 2021 after the birth of my second son. I had a lot of struggles with my first and although we made it to our goal for nursing it took a lot of work on my behalf to make it happen. I officially began my birth work journey in 2018 and have gone on to work as a doula, lactation counselor, and birth assistant. I feel the idea of supporting women in their birth journey actually took root with my firstborn in 1994. I loved and cherished the guidance I received from other women and provide the care that meant so much to me. I have 4 grown children 2 of which were hospital births and 2 home births.
