Postpartum Over Night Hours
I work with each family individually to find out their particular needs. Some of the postpartum services offered overnight are:
Breastfeeding support
Sleep Training
Help mom with postpartum care (ie: preparing sitz baths, foot soaks, belly binding, etc)
Light housekeeping
Laundry
Assistance with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and comforting so that parents can sleep comfortably
Light meal prepping
Sibling care
Referrals to local resources such as but not limited to parenting classes, pediatricians,
lactation support and other parenting support groups
Nighttime postpartum care has a minimum of 7 hours per shift. Shift times typically range from 9pm to 7am.
Postpartum Day Support
I work with each family individually to find out their particular needs. Some of the postpartum services offered during support hours are:
Breastfeeding support
Help with the emotional and physical recovery after birth
Help with postpartum care (ie: preparing sitz baths, foot soaks, belly binding, etc)
Light housekeeping so that mom does not feel so overwhelmed
Running errands
Assistance with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and comforting
Healthy and nutritious meals and/or Light meal planning
Education on postpartum issues
Baby soothing techniques
Sibling care
Referrals to local resources such as but not limited to parenting classes, pediatricians,
lactation support and other parenting support groups
There is a 4-hour minimum required for daytime postpartum care per shift.
