About me

Hello Everyone! My name is Donna Moragne-Hanson. I'm a licensed midwife in Los Angeles, CA providing well-woman, pre-conception and prenatal/postpartum midwifery care. I also provide doula care, childbirth education and lactation support from the privacy of my in-home birthing studio. Here you & your family are provided with everything you need for a safe, comfortable and peaceful birth. Receive 24 Golden Hours of maternal & newborn postpartum care as you enjoy 3 homemade meals prepared to restore, center and balance your body before journeying home with your new babe. I offer specialty services such as yoni steams, healing herbal baths, Ala-carte Postpartum packages and the "Closing of the Bones" ceremony, bringing spiritual closure to your birth. For me, establishing trust with my client is the most important and fundamental. My practice is built on nurturing trust and learning to let go of the things we allow to interfere with trust. I want to encourage trusting in yourself; trusting in your body (and the natural process of giving birth); trusting in your baby (and their own divinely written birth story); trusting in humanity (and the world your baby is born into) and trusting in our partnership, as client and midwife. I believe, "when a woman is heard, she is seen; when she is seen, she has a voice"; and as her midwife I am compelled to encourage her to honor that voice; her voice. In this way I believe I am blessed with an opportunity to fulfill my role as supporter, facilitator, educator and client advocate; the ultimate calling of a midwife. Onyx Midwifery En Suite Care
Clients will receive complete prenatal care, labor and give birth in a newly renovated, private birthing studio in my home. Your stay includes 24 Golden Hours of continuous midwifery postpartum care where you will receive 3 homemade, organic, highly nutritious meals to restore/heal/balance the body. Confidence in breastfeeding is established as well as postpartum care for the mother and newborn.

Onyx Midwifery Homebirth Care
Clients will receive complete prenatal care, labor and give birth in their own home where you will receive 4-6 hours of routine postpartum midwifery care for mother and newborn. Immediate skin-to-skin, delayed cord clamping and initiating breastfeeding early on will be practiced.

Onyx Birth Doula Care
As a licensed midwife in California; I also provide doula care services allowing you to have the best of both worlds. My services include being called to your birth when you need support and continuing labor support through the initial hours of postpartum recovery. Whether you are having a home birth or a hospital birth, I will provide comprehensive and holistic doula care for you and your newborn.
