I plan to give birth at Willis-Knighton Pierremont hospital and am currently 8 months pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy, due around May 20. I am looking for a compassionate and experienced doula to support me during labor and delivery, as well as some postpartum support. I have Medicaid and a limited budget of about $85 per week, but I am open to working with someone who offers flexible pricing, payment plans, or sliding scale options. My children’s father is involved, but he is a truck driver and is not always available, so I am looking for reliable support—especially in the birthing room. It’s important to me to have someone present who can advocate for me, keep me calm, and guide me through labor. After delivery, I would also appreciate some daytime support between 9 AM and 6 PM with newborn care (feeding, soothing, monitoring) and light help around the home while I recover. I am looking for someone patient, understanding, and experienced with high-risk pregnancies who truly cares about mothers and babies.
