FEES: The various methods, and thus your choice of payment that apply to each potential client is all below, and this topic is REQUIRED in discussion at the initial no-strings-attached consult. It is during any initial consult where we will, together, peruse, discuss fees, and see which payment arrangement is your choice. Cash payment is the most common method. 1) The Birth fee itself is: $4,900, if CASH! NOTE: I am NO longer a Medicaid Provider since @ 2017 as it doesn't pay enough to run a midwifery practice, much less to eat/live on. I am Not in-network with any insurance company or government organization. I am considered, an Out-of-Network nurse-midwife. a) For those with insurance or those type plans of any kind, and b) you have the intention to request reimbursement from an insurance type plan/organization, etc., all clients FIRST pay me; then, the CLIENT performs/ completes the reimbursement duties/paperwork/online process, etc. NOTE: if client desires this sole CNM to perform ALL those administrative duties/nightmares (LOL), then the birth fee is $6,925, which is Still paid in total to BirthTender Midwifery, first. Some may or may not reimburse YOU, the client for Certified Nurse-Midwives fee/s, but most do these days. Prenatal fees or bartering progress/update/proof is/are due at each prenatal. Payment in full for the birth fee is required in full before the 36th week. Please keep in mind that for me to; 1) keep up to date on research, 2) continuing education, 3) fresh supplies and equipment and, 4) keep up a dependable vehicle so I arrive at your home in a timely manner, requires that you render all compensation before the 36th week. Any possible bartering arrangements, are discussed (in depth) at the no-strings-attached initial consult. When I consider bartering, it MUST be an item/product/service that I NEED, and we have agreed upon.
