I’m Ashley Readmond, a faith-based birth doula serving Wichita, KS and surrounding areas. What does a doula do?
A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I’m here to be your steady, calm presence, helping you feel confident, heard, and supported in every decision.
How is your support different from a medical provider?
While your medical team focuses on clinical care and safety, my role is to focus on you — your comfort, your preferences, and your emotional well-being. I don’t replace medical care, but I work alongside it to make your experience as positive and empowering as possible.
Do you offer payment flexibility?
Yes. My work is ministry-led, and I believe every family deserves support. I offer a sliding scale and “Pay-As-You-Can” options. No family is turned away due to finances.
Are you willing to travel?
Yes! While I’m based outside Wichita, KS, I serve families throughout the region and am happy to travel to your home, birth center, or hospital.
I am also happy to support you virtually, anywhere!
What training and certifications do you have?
I trained with New Beginnings Doula Training and have 12 years of experience in the medical field, including Army medic service, surgical clinic work, and neonatal emergency care. I’m certified in CPR, HIPAA, and CLASI, and my approach is guided by both professional experience and faith.
Do you work with all birth settings?
Absolutely. Postpartum care is just as important as birth support. I can help with newborn care, feeding support, recovery comfort, emotional well-being, and connecting you with trusted community resources.
