I plan to give birth at a hospital as naturally as possible. My budget is negotiable. I want a natural vaginal birth with as little interventions as possible including but not limited to intermittent monitoring, ability to move as much or as little as I want, and a truly holistic and therapeutic birth environment.
Preferably an unmedicated birth at methodist west hospital in west des moines. My midwives are through unity point. I want a chill and meditative environment during birth. I want to be able to move and would like to avoid birthing on my back if possible. I would also prefer someone who can directly communicate my needs or advocate for what I have on my birth plan if they are not being respected. My doula should also be able to educate and help both me and my husband during our preparation for and during delivery. Top end of our budget is $1500. Postpartum care would be great but not required.
1. Giving birth At Methodist west 2. Need someone to advocate for me. I have gestational diabetes and am being induced early and very nervous and don’t know what to expect or how to get the best experience. 3. I’m not sure on budget as I don’t know how much this typically costs
I am just looking for someone to work with, to be on my care team for delivering and preparing for my first baby
I plan on giving birth at a hospital but making sure it’s a comfortable setting with no medication or ivs what so ever. I want extra help and to be near a hospital if something goes wrong. My budget is up in the air too. Would like if insurance could cover a lot of the costs.
Hi! My name is Amber, and I’m due September 5 with my first baby. I’m currently looking for birth doula support and would love to learn more availability and approaches. I’ll be living in Pella and receiving care with the UnityPoint Midwives, and I’m planning to deliver at Iowa Methodist in downtown Des Moines. I’m hoping for an unmedicated hospital birth and am looking for a doula who feels aligned with supporting physiologic labor in a hospital setting. I’m especially interested in hands-on labor support, movement/positioning, coping techniques, and guidance throughout labor as a first-time mom. I would like to have someone help me advocate for my birth plan in the hospital while rolling with the punches of whatever happens, while trying our best to be in-line with our plan but overall, having a healthy baby at the end of the day.
