Hi! I'm Abbey. I've been an infant nanny for more than ten years, ranging from full-time to as-needed. Night nannying has been my favorite, and I'm working toward a postpartum doula certification! I love working with new moms (and dads), comforting the understandable anxiety, trying out new "tricks" and methods for baby's care, and enjoying all the little milestones together as a team. I believe parents know their child best and do my best to follow their lead(s) and needs in addition to baby's. Safety is extremely important to me. I'm vaccinated, I don't smoke/chew, I love dogs and cats, and I have reliable transportation! I am knowledgeable in sleep training and have experience with medically needy, colicky, and gassy babies. I am trained in Infant CPR, First Aid, safe sleep, swaddling techniques, and general feeding protocols (breastmilk and formula). Right now, I also work as a book editor (self-employed). I have a Bachelor's in English and Creative Writing. I'm a big believer in getting to know each other first! Let's meet for coffee, chat on the phone--whatever you'd like! I'm grateful you took the time to read this! :) Abbey

I offer night nanny services and newborn care. As a night nanny, I take care of baby while you either get some well-deserved sleep or get some work done (if you're a night owl/night shift parent). The service is very customizable! As a newborn caregiver, I come over on an as-needed basis to help with baby and baby-related chores so you can take a nap, run some errands, or whatever sounds good for you! We can 100% hang out together if you're also looking for friendship and support in this surreal early time of parenthood.
We have loved our experience with Abbey! From the first time we met her, she has made us feel very comfortable & reassured that she would take great care of our triplet newborns. She started out night nannying for us which was a HUGE relief to get some guaranteed, uninterrupted sleep. At first, I was nervous to have a “stranger” in our home watching our babies while we were asleep but Abbey is so personable and made it clear that she was plenty capable of the job! Feeding triplets is not an easy or straightforward task but Abbey has handled it all with ease. She has also been very helpful with newborn advice, tips and tricks! Now that our babies are sleeping through the night, we no longer need any overnight help. We didn’t want to lose Abbey all together though so she has offered to help us at other times during the week. Her availability & scheduling has been more than accommodating to us! I could keep going on about our positive experience with Abbey! Overall, she is personable, educated, trusting and amazing with babies!!!

Abbey consistently exceeds expectations as a night nanny. She followed our lead regarding our daughter’s nighttime routines and assisted us with sleep training. Her extensive knowledge in sleep training proved invaluable, and she successfully implemented the techniques to help our daughter establish a consistent sleep schedule. Furthermore, Abbey provided us with comprehensive instructions and agreed to do hands on teaching during the day for naps on how to maintain this sleep training regimen at home. She has extensive experience and can pivot and handle curve balls that our daughter threw at her. The most important thing, our daughter loves her and starts bouncing and jumping when she sees Abbey come through the door. Abbey remains our first choice for child care.

My son was always so happy to see her. Was wonderful about keeping track of feedings and other things, also worked amazing with my crazy schedule. I still talk about how amazing she was with my son.
